This was such an intense week. Actually, it feels this way every week but this week is a bit different because instead of staying home for the weekend, I'm miles away from my cozy bed and lovely TV. And to top it all, MG has cough and colds and the weather here in Tagaytay is much too cold for us. I've also been putting up a valiant effort to fight off a cold that's threatening to ruin my week and fitness routine. But it seems to be winning. So I might down a bottle of Ascorbic Acid later on. If you hear in the news of a lady dying from Vitamin C overdose, that would be me.

Anyway, it's probably too late for some but I hope you all have a happy weekend...wherever you may be...

I'll leave you with this rare photo of Brooke!=)

dailies: shopping this season

November 20, 2009

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dirt Devil. All opinions are 100% mine.

Can you feel it in the air? It feels a lot like Christmas. Just five more weeks and we'd be spending time with people who truly matter. And yes, five more weeks to finish Christmas shopping and I'm not even close to my ideal Christmas budget. I guess I have to work harder or save where I can. I want to buy the perfect gifts for my family. I hate it when people just give without putting any thought to it. Ok sure, I know my loved ones would appreciate anything I give them. But still, I want to give the best. The gifts don't need to be expensive. Anyway, I have a secret and I'm going to share it just this one time. Ever heard of Dirt Devil Online Shopping Guide? Well, you better download it now and save money while you can. What is it? It's a gift guide that lists every shopping site in the internet that offers discounts, savings and sales. It contains everything you'll ever need. Want to know where to get cheap travel? You'll definitely find it there. Want to get freebies? The guide contains tips where to get those, too. Do you know that the second annual free shipping day is on December 17, 2009? If I were you, I'd mark that date now before you even forget. And of course, there are holidays deals scattered inside this guide so you'll never have a problem again on which gifts for him or her are best. You'll get tons of gift ideas here. Thank God for free resources like this one.

dailies: manny pacquiao and wapakman

November 18, 2009

So my bad feeling about the whole match was really just that because Manny won...again! And my impression about Miguel Cotto changed, too. He is not that tough as his exterior projects. But what I admire about him is he was sport about the whole thing. I wouldn't have guessed that about him in a million years. After the referee stopped the match, he accepted his defeat and went over to Manny's corner and shook his hand and congratulated him. So there you go. All's well that ends well.

Thank you Manny for bringing honor to our country. And for that, panonoorin ko ang WAPAKMAN!!! Yun lang ang pwede kong gawin to show my appreciation kahit ayaw ko. Kayo, would you watch his movie as a sign of thanks and appreciation? =)

I have a bad feeling about Manny Pacquiao's match today with Miguel Cotto. I hope it's nothing. I just don't trust his opponent. There's something different about him that I can't clearly place. It might be the face. I hope Manny wins. I've been praying for it for days now and I seldom pray for people I don't know personally. Good luck to us all.

Go MANNY!

you gotta see this

November 13, 2009

I've never won a contest but it's a good thing I still have near perfect vision. But for those of you who are not as fortunate, why not join "You Gotta See This" contest by Abbot Medical Optics Inc. (AMO), the global leader in laser vision correction? They just launched this contest to see how poor eyesight can get in the way of anyone enjoying life. Entrants only need to share through videos, music or movie, on how an improved vision made an impact in their lives. Here are specific categories:

a. “My contacts are getting in the way of my good time”
b. “My favorite sport or activity would be so much cooler with better vision”
c. “You should see life after the iLASIK procedure”

Well, the video should be along those lines. I think it's great that there's iLasik so people won't have to wear eyeglasses exclusively. That it's just an option and there's a much better option. Who would want to wear eyeglasses and look older all of a sudden? Did I tell you that there are cool prizes involved? The winning entries would take home $5,000 as grand prize and HDTV packages and Flip Video Camcorders for first and second placers. The iLASIK Video Contest is still open and people have already submitted. Some of the entries were a music video and another on boxing and swimming. This just goes to show that if your eyesight is good, you can do almost anything.

photo of the day: friday the 13th

November 12, 2009

today is friday the 13th.
it's 5 in the afternoon.
it's that time when you don't really understand your own idea
because you're a little too tired
to come up with something worthwhile.
you also contemplate whether you should write anything else.
some days are really better than others.

and i feel so incredibly worn out.
is that even an expression?
no energy to think.
this photo mysteriously surfaced in my folder on this ridiculously unbalanced day.
whatever that means.
again, hope you have a good weekend...
wherever you may be...

Thank God for search engines. If not for them, we would still leafing through big, thick and old-fashioned encyclopedias. We would be at a loss if it weren’t for search engines. The internet has replaced a lot of things and made life easier and better for us. We need to know something about a certain topic, we use the internet. We need info on a certain person, the internet could help us with that, too. Eventually, all of us would be turning to the internet for answers. Even answers to the meaning of life. Yes, I did a research on the topic. But never mind what I uncovered. Anyway, there’s a search engine called Rapidshare Search Engine that is making finding movies and digital books faster and more efficiently. And it has even partnered with torrentz to make music, games, anime and software downloads even more fun than it already is. Try it now!

dailies: with the family

November 4, 2009
We're here in Pampanga having a much needed long vacation. We didn't have the chance to go anywhere last week because of planning booboos. All hotels and resorts were fully booked. You see, I don't plan ahead. One week is the most I could manage to plan for anything--whether vacation, birthday parties or spa treatment. A month for me is too much. That's why I didn't anticipate that hotels might be booked for the long weekend last week. And true enough, no room was free. Anyway, we just arrived and we're planning to stay here for two nights. So this is a bit early but happy weekend to you all. By the way, sun broadbrand signal here sucks.
