We're here in Pampanga having a much needed long vacation. We didn't have the chance to go anywhere last week because of planning booboos. All hotels and resorts were fully booked. You see, I don't plan ahead. One week is the most I could manage to plan for anything--whether vacation, birthday parties or spa treatment. A month for me is too much. That's why I didn't anticipate that hotels might be booked for the long weekend last week. And true enough, no room was free. Anyway, we just arrived and we're planning to stay here for two nights. So this is a bit early but happy weekend to you all. By the way, sun broadbrand signal here sucks.

So ok, it's November now and just less than a month before the Christmas month. Have you started on your Christmas list? I have and I need new gift ideas. Fortunately, I came across Zenni's New Arrivals and I thought those would be great gifts. Most of the items are less than $20 so they would not make a huge dent on our wallets. Hello, halloween weekend! I'm not a big fan of halloween. I have never attended any halloween party. Never did trick or treat as a kid. And never did those pumpkins. So you see how lukewarm I feel towards this particular day. But I don't want my kid to grow up feeling the same about halloween. So we might just head on over to my sister's house and join her village's organized party and trick or treat for the kids. I hope the storm changes its mind and changes its course so we all could have a happy weekend wherever we may be...Happy Halloween!

Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I don't know. I guess I have my mother to be blamed for that. She never let me go trick or treating when I was a kid. I would have probably chosen "Tricks" more than "Treats." Halloween back then was just any ordinary day. But some people even go as far as decorating their houses and apartments. Most of the decorations are quirky and almost all are pumpkins. What can I say? Anyway happy halloween and have a good scare! =)

Who's not fond of watching the movies? Movies are not all about past time and leisure. Most of my knowledge about the Tudors and European history came from watching the movies Elizabeth and The Other Boleyn Girl. I can say that learning about history in the movies is more fun than reading about it or studying it in a classroom. Don't you agree? But I find myself watching less and less because for one, there's nothing good on in television. And if ever my favorite movies are shown, I never catch them because of my schedule. Not only that, my little girl never gets to watch her favorite cartoons like Dora and Sponge Bob because she's still asleep. By the time she wakes up, they're over. And renting DVDs is out of the question because it's just additional expense.
It's a good thing I discovered Charter Digital that lets you watch movies and shows when you want them and it's for FREE!
